  • DISHA in non-profit trust with a mission to provide from the fundamental right of education
  • In 2013, we started Umang Pathshala, a school for the students belonging to a special community “Dakot” who survive their livelihood through begging in town on Saturday and Tuesday
  • Now, DISHA is taking an initiative & going to start a formal primary school “UMANG”– A Democratic School based on alternative education
  • Through this initiative, we are taking a step towards improving quality of education and giving a chance to those who are deprived yet

    Umang: A Democratic School

    Dear Friends ,
    Disha trust is starting a school in the name of Umang: A Democratic School at Ganaur Distt.Sonipat Haryana for 100 girls from grade 1 to 5 on 29nd March 2015.The school aims at alternative education which will enhance the overall development of the child. We at Umang are creating a happy and healthy learning environment for children. Children will be encouraged to think innovatively and analyse critically.
    The methodology used will be Drama In Education
